This short circuit coined the Royal trek after Prince Charles of Wales sauntered through on his holiday. Seldom trekked, highly recommended for those who want to try trekking but are unsure about the physical demands. As the route does not ascend to high altitude the climate is warmer and you will have the opportunity to stroll through the rice terraced fields. This lower hill short circuit can be worked into any travel itinerary which offers great views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manaslu and Lamjung. Outline Itinerary Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.
Day 02: In Kathmandu – Half day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu.. 
Day 03: Fly Kathmandu / Pokhara approx. 820m Begin Trek to Kahon Gaon near Kalikasthan 1,243m. Approx. 4 hrs walks. 
Day 04: Trek to Bahun Gaon (Acharyagaon).1,250m. (approx. 4-5 hours walk). 
Day 05: Trek to Syaglung.Approx.1,400m. (approx 6 hours walk). 
Day 06: Trek to Begnas Lake 813m for Lunch & drive to Pokhara. (approx 5 hours walk / 1 hour motor drive). 
Day 07: Drive to Rafting Put-in Point / Trisuli River & commence Rafting.. (approx 3-4 hours drive) 
Day 08: Continue Full day Rafting & camp by riverside. 
Day 09: Drive to Chitwan National Park. Approx. 228m. for Jungle Safari. (approx 1-2 hours motor drive). 
Day 10: Full day jungle excursion at Chitwan National Park. 
Day 11: Drive back to Kathmandu. (approx 6-7 hours motor drive). You can go for normal Mount Everest Flight or Balloon flight.
Day 12: At leisure in Kathmandu.
Day 13: Departure - Transfer to airport for flight homeward bound.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu.1, 300m and transfer to Hotel.
On arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport you will be received by our staff and will escort you to the Hotel, where our staff or a guide will give you a brief orientation of the Hotel, Kathmandu, Trekking / Camping, do's and don't and other related information that you might require while in Nepal.

Day 02: A day in Kathmandu. 
After your first night in Kathmandu, you will be well informed on arrival about the time for your half day guided sightseeing tour in Kathmandu at places of interest. Sometime, depending upon your flight arrival if its late in the night we will do this tour in the afternoon instead of morning to give you a good rest before you venture out in our interesting tour.

Day 03: Fly to Pokhara and begin trek to Kaungaon. Approx: 4 hrs walks.
As per the flight schedule for Pokhara, our staff will transfer you to the domestic airport for a short half hour scenic flight to Pokhara. On arrival at Pokhara our trekking staff will meet you and from Pokhara a short drive towards the outskirt of Pokhara city to start this scenic trekking. After a short ride, reaching at Bijaypur khola (stream) begin gentle walk towards our camp at Kaungaon, the walk passes through several farm villages and rice terraces, coming across friendly locals till overnight camp is reached after a gentle first day trek.

Day 04: Trek to Bahun Gaon 4-5 hrs.
The walk from Kahon Khola is a pleasant gradual walk with an hour uphill to Kalikathan, a rural farm village of mid hill tribes. From Kalikathan the trail is more gradual with few ups and downs all the way to Bahun Gaon for the overnight camp. Bahun Gaon offers panoramic view of Annapurna, Lamjung and Manaslu range overlooking Begnas Lake below.

Day 05: Trek to Syaglung. 4-5 hrs. 
From Bahun Gaon, the walk is mostly through the farm villages and rice terraces and small woodlands, after three hours of walk bringing us to lunch at Syaglung Phedi. After lunch the walk is mostly up hill all the way till Syaglung village for another three hours. The walks take on the newly built stone steps half of the way and on dirt trails to our camp at Syaglung.

Day 06: Trek to Begnas & drive to Pokhara. 
The walk today is mostly down hill and on the gradual path to Begnas Lake through Lake Rupa, passing numerous villages and farm fields till Begnas Lake is reached for lunch. After lunch, an hour drive brings to the Fish Tail Lodge for the overnight.

Day 07: Drive to Trisuli River and commence Rafting. 
After a great morning view of the surrounding landscapes and mountains a short walk leads to our bus for 3-4 hours drive for our next great adventure, rafting at Trisuli river. The bus journey leads to the "put in point" of Rafting where our Rafting crew will replace the trekking staffs. Here you will be received by our Rafting Captain and will brief you on the safety, river, rafting and about do' and don't. a picnic lunch will be served by our rafting staffs depending upon the time of your arrival, if its too soon we will have some where on the beaches downstream.

On arriving at Rafting Put In Point at Chauradhi or Fishling, a small village in the middle of the highway, our river guides and Captain of the raft will receive you, a short walk to the beach where you can see our boys preparing and inflating the raft for the exciting journey on the Trisuli River. You will briefed by the Captain about the Rafting, safety procedure and the river. Lunch is prepared by the bank of the Trisuli river,(if its too early sometime we prepare lunch further downstream) lunch will be prepared and served on the large plastic tarpaulin.

After lunch, your valuable, money purse, camera and sunscreen is put in the safe water-proof and tight barrel. Once in the Raft you'll have helmets, life-jacket and paddle each. As the seating order is settled the Captain seats will be on the back with its oar or steering paddle. You will have a brief instruction on paddling, the float down stream takes you through many interesting and exciting rapids, like twin-rock, ladies delight, monsoon and the most heart pounding rapids of all are "Upset" (an infamous class IV rapid with a huge curly waves) after Upset it passes through "Surprise" and before the end of the trip Bijili rapid will give you a big wash, then back to the bank of the river at Kuringhat or further downstream depending where you started rafting. At the campsite, our kitchen crew and cook will be ready with a warm cup of coffee and tea.

After getting organized in the camp, time for a short walk to the nearby villages. Dinner time will be informed, back to the camp for dinner on the beach, our rafting cook will serve you one of our great many delicious meals.

Day 08: Full day Rafting. 
Today we will have full day of Rafting of 4-5 hrs depending upon the water volume and availability of campsite. Morning after breakfast around 9 or 10 am, we float further south on the winding river course, paddling through semi white water rapid and bouncy waves, a scenic float with great scenery of the gorge and beautiful landscapes farm villages and river life. Lunch on the sandy shore with time for a sun tan on the beach, after lunch few hours of float will bring you to our another good camping spot by the river Trisuli and nearby village.

Day 09: End Rafting and drive to Chitwan National Park.
After a lazy morning and breakfast get prepared for the last big wash, today's rafting will lead further downstream near the flatland on southern part, paddling through nice simple rapids, waves and drops coming to an end of this great wet adventure, where our Bus will be on the side of the road with all your bags and warm, dry clothes.

A few hours drive will bring you at the outskirt of the "Chitwan National Park" where the Jungle Camp staffs will receive you and transport you in other four wheel drive for half an hour drive into the dense Jungle of Chitwan for your last adventure of this trip. On arrival received by the senior naturalist or the manger for the welcome brief and Information on do's and don't of the park , lodge rules and activities. A fixed set lunch of continental or semi-continental lunch is served at 1 pm in the main dining hut.(If you are vegetarian or need Indian meals can be arranged prior to your pre-booking or on arrival) After lunch, at leisure for a few hours. Afternoon activities as per the Lodge set program for different groups. Afternoon Jungle program generally are elephant briefing & bathing (depending upon the depth and size of the river at different seasons) Nature or Introductory walk. Elephant Safari, jungle walk includes visit to the tower (Machan) visit and Jungle drives.

Afternoon jungle activities for 2-3 hours, evening program slide show on Chitwan National Park and its history, flora and wildlife. Cultural Tharu Stick Dance. Dinner is served at 8 pm. The dinner will be buffet of Nepali dishes or Chinese-Indian dishes.

Day 10: Full day Jungle Activities. 
Early, in the morning a knock at the door for your early Jungle activities. The morning jungle program will be according to group wise either Bird watch tour, Elephant Safari or a Jungle walk.After the morning program of 1 to 2 hours back to the lodge for breakfast in the main dining hut, the tables are allocated according to different groups and guest wise. A few hours of leisure before the next program as above in Day one till evening time.

Day 11: Drive back to Kathmandu. 180 km. 5 hrs journey. 
Early morning wake up call with a knock at the door for different activities as in Day two. After breakfast, get organized with all the bags packed up for the scenic drive back to Kathmandu.

Day 12: Free day in Kathmandu. 
A free day in Kathmandu, please let our staff or tour officer know if you would like to go on another short tour in and around Kathmandu Valley or for scenic mountain flight or hot air ballooning.

Day 13: Transfer to Airport for International departure.
Today as per your international flight time, keep your confirmed air ticket, departure tax (in local currency) and your passport handy. Our Tour Officer will take you to the airport for your final departure from this amazing country, Nepal.
