Domestic flights in the country have been affected by the incessant rainfall in the past few days.

Country’s tourist movement has gone down as the off season ongoing. During the monsoon period weather gets fuggy on the Himalayas. After the earthquake on 2015 the country’s hilly regions are not safe. This monsoon season has destroyed most of the hills in trekking areas.

Trekking trails are unsafe during this time of the period. The cloud on Himalayas doesn’t allow you to enjoy the massive vistas. The Romanian lady died just a week ago due to the big rain. She tried to cross the river herself as she didn’t have guide and porter but unfortunately river swept her in Annapurna Region near Pokhara.

The trekking gate ways are in hilly regions of the country. Continues rain has disturbed entire tourist’s flights across the country.  Although the international arrivals are landing on time but the domestic flight are affected. Over a week there are no any airlines made flight to Lukla, Jomsom these days.

Lukla is the main gate to Everest Base Camp and Jomsom airport of Annapurna usually busy airport for international tourist who willing to travel lower and upper mustang.

The eastern and western hilly regions domestic flight is badly affected according to Tribhuban International Airport (TIA).

General Manager of the TIA informed that the eastern flights like Solukhumbu, Bhojpur and Taplejung flight are keep cancelling almost every day.  Although the visibility in other area is OK, flights in monsoon region in hilly areas are very danger.

There are eight different airline companies are operating daily flight in different sector while the 26 international aircrafts make flight to Kathmandu every day.
