Either you are first time trekker or experienced trekking the walk to beautiful Annapurna Base Camp is suitable. Someone who walk slowly, and interested to gain local cultural knowledge they can adopt it.

Also the trek to ABC is chance to know about local’s life style and you will face every peaks of Annapurna and relatively this is easy trek in Annapurna. Before you made your choice for ABC there are some important facts to consider which are weather and climate conditions and best season for ABC Trek.

Summer (June to August) 

With rice green fields all over and subtropical meadows, summer is also quite good time for trekking to Base Camp of Annapurna.  Most of the positive factor makes your journey more pleasant as there will be burning sun. The season begins from June and ends at August surely its rainy season in Nepal. During the morning time the weather gets clear and day time it might rain along the trail.   The trails will buddy, infected by leech and we advise you to be updated of recent weather before your trek.

Due to the location of rain shadows region upper part of Annapurna receives only 10 percent precipitation and stays average of 18 to 19 degree C temperature during the day and it might get colder in night. But many dissimilar Flora and Fauna can be marked along the trail. Rain may keep away dust so you may enjoy glory of Annapurna. Prepare yourself with waterproof jackets.

Autumn (Sept to Nov)

If I have to do fair calculation the month of September, October and November is not only the best time for Annapurna Base Camp, its supper best period to do any treks in Nepal. Just right after the monsoon the sky gets clear and becomes sunny day. During the mid October you might need any see any clouds on sky. The path stays clean and vibrant.  It is neither too cold or neither too hot.

In lower elevation the weather is normally warm as average temperature stays 14 to 15 degree On the lower reaches, the weather is generally warm. As you get higher in altitude temperatures drop considerably. As this is peak season everywhere on trails of Nepal you might see hundreds of trekkers each day heading to base camp. The trek can be done with light and easy dress but should not forgotten sleeping bag and down jacket.

Winter (December to February)

The cold month in Nepal surely a challenging but less chance of rain, however it gets cold the weather stays clear in the morning. It will be pretty cold even its blue sky and sun, winter morning are foggy in lower elevation, occasion snowfalls and storms may disturb you. It’s also dry season as the temperature stays around 8 to 12 degree during the days and goes minus during the nights. Despite of cold the tea houses and lodges will burn fire on dining hall every day.

4. Spring (March to May)

Another supper time of year March, April and May presents great picturesque Himalayan ranges with clear blue sky. The Rhododendron flowers blossoms and makes beautiful lower hills.   April and May are the best climbing season in Nepal as Everest expedition usually operated in May. The weather stays 15 to 18 degree C during the day and stays around 5 to 10 at night. The sun rises very early. During the season Annapurna low lands weather is very warm and sunny, Mustang region stays dry and clear.
