Domestic flights cancelled by rain and fog2014-08-15 12:22:07


Flights from Pokhara to Kathmandu and various places of Nepal have been cancelled due to bad weather on Thursday.
 
Chief of Pokhara Airport Deepak Baral mentioned that not single flights operated at the airport. According to the airport sources, the flights were cancelled due to incessant rain and poor visibility. 

Bouddha Airlines, Yeti Airlines, Simrik Airlines and Tara Airlines have been operating services from Pokhara to Kathmandu, Mustang, Jomsom and Manang districts. 

Bouddha and yeti have been operating six and five flights respectively from Pokhara to Kathmandu every day. Apart from that, Tara and Simrik Airlines have been operating flights to Jomsom. 

According to the Pokhara Station manager of Buddha Airlines, Gautam baral, Hundreds of passengers have been facing problems due to flights deferment. 

Likewise, Flights from Nepalgunj to various destinations of Nepal have been cancelled due to bad weather on Thursday and Friday. 

According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), Nepalgunj branch, all the flights to hilly and Himalayan areas were stopped due to continue rainfall. 

According to him, from seven to 10 flights were operating everyday including from and to Humla, Bajura, Jumla and Rukum.
