Langtang Tourism rebounds slowely2016-04-20 13:19:19

After the earthquake disaster of 2015, Langtang region was destroyed terribly then other trekking trails of the country. Now, the tourists are gradually heading back to the region as the trails and lodges along the trail have improved.

The whole valley of Langtang village was swept away by an earthquake of April 25, 2015. Most of the locals do not have any other chances job so the new hotels are buildings. The locals are working extra shifts to get the tourism business back on track.  Mr, Pasang Tamang of 47 years mentioned that he has just opened new hotel the Langtang valley informing that he do not have any option and hotel business is just one option he can do.

Mr. Tamang is opening few more hotels and over 10 trekkers per a day including domestic travelers have been on trek iLangtang region. Over 15,000 foreigner’s trekkers used to travel before the earthquake of 25th April 2015 in the region. 
The local committee of the region along with the support from the districts headquarters has built trekking paths in the area. Not the trek goes along the Langtang River.

According to locals many hotels have come to operation soon in langtang, Kyanjin and Singumba. The Kyanjin which is also last stop of the trail only have 35 hotels. The locals have been using mules to take materials to build house.

After Everest and Annapurna region Langtang is also most popular trail in Nepal. The langtang regions offer many different optional journey too.
