ma 60 NAC started regular flights2014-07-22 17:40:31

The MA 60 aircraft of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC), which has being grounded since Wednesday, is started its regular flights from Tuesday.
NAC had grounded the aircraft after problems was detected in its radar while landing at the Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu.
Saroj Kasaju, spokesperson of NAC, said that the aircraft has been repaired and that it would resume operation from Tuesday. “As we receive the aircraft only few months ago, we have asked Aviation industry Corporation of China (AVIC) international –the manufacturer of the aircraft-to bear the maintenance cost,” he added.
It took US$ 100,000 to repair the aircraft. Nepal Airlines Corporation has not made any payments for its repair works. 
Earlier on June 30, the aircraft had averted accident when it hit a bird while landing at the Biratnagar Airport. For 13 days the aircraft had grounded by incident. 

It had resumed flight on July 15-two days before problems in its eider was detected. 
By the bird hit the right propeller of the aircraft was damaged. It looks around Rs 10 million to fix the new propeller.
