Tara Air Crashes again in mid western region2016-02-24 12:29:24


Here we have bad news for tourism sector. The Tara Air plane caring 23 member along with crew member have crashed early morning. The plane left to Jomsom this morning. The loaded plane was crashed in Rupche Chhahara of Magdi District which is close to Jomsom Airport.

The aircraft took off from Pokhara Airport at 7:50 Am with 20 passengers including two kids and 2 foreigners on board. The three air crew on the plane too. Tara Air Viking 9H-AHHTwin Otter was made in Canada with high security consciousness.  After the crashed, local public informed police headquarter in Pokhara.

Flight captain Roshan Manandhar contacted from over the Ghorepani Area from where Jomsom airport takes the plane control. He spoke “See you Back, Ghorepani weather is normal”.  There was only 5 kilometers visibility when in Pokhara Airport when the plane left airport.

Once the communications stopped with Plane the officials thought that the plane may change route due to weather conditions or due to the other reasons.

Once the repeated contact failed two helicopters were sent from Pokhara to search around the flight route. According to the Pokhara Airport officials there were Chinese and Kuwaiti passengers along with two infants on board.

The crashed plane was brought last year in September and which was brand new. Nepalese sky crashes this type of plane every year. The world’s dangerous airport is also located in Nepal on the gate way to Mt Everest base Camp.
