Tourist go missing in Annapurna trek Nepal2018-04-10 06:01:03

Right after Annapurna Base Camp Trek in Mid March of 2018, the Korean trekker Ji Ae went missing while she was returning from Base Camp of Annapurna to Pokhara. Searched team rescued her after eight hours and disappears. During her return she choose wrong trail.

Likewise, Police rescued two Czech republican tourists from Dhaulagiri trek trail last week. While they were trekking in remote Aabalbari of Gharjhoba two Czech citizens named Kamil Morovic had broken his lag and another Jiri Kalabin was injured in several places on her body. Last year, on 20 February Netherland’s trekkers Cornel Van Veggel went missing while she was doing trek along the Annapurna Himalayan range. She was in unknown place and missed trail. She was planning to climb Mardi Mountain and she lost contact with her family.  She is still missing in Himalayas.     Same month, Indian Rajesh Agrawal also went missing from Pokhara. He called his wife once from Pokhara since then he is not in contact with anyone.

Since March 3, French national Nicolas Fin who went trekking in Annapurna Circuit has not been in contact. His family member is worries over his whereabouts and requested government to find him and search. Israeli national Amit Mosche has not been in communication last one and half year in Nepal. His was on trek in Mardi Himal and lost contact since 17th October 2016.

Above are just examples of missing tourists in Nepal in the Annapurna trek routes. Most individual trekkers have lost their life. The questions for searchers are where they are?

Trekkers heading trek without guide and porters missing rate getting high in these days. The trekkers plan their trip alone just with friends however Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal requests them not to trek alone. Trekking in High Himalayan ranges. To make pleasant and memorable adventure trekking in Nepal the tourist must have professional trekking guide who knows trails and who is very friendly in the area where you heading.

Once tourist goes missing their family and embassy urges for search but they don’t advice them to go with guide and government register companies. Once missing, it’s very hard to find as most of the trekking trails in High Himalayas in Nepal are dangerous. In the wilderness, it’s also dangerous by wild animals. The tourist must realize themselves.
